Osprey

Pandian haliaetus

It is a fish-eating bird of prey found in all continents except Antartica. This raptor has a outer toe that is reversible that allows it to grap its prey with two toes in front and two behind.

When it spots a fish from the air it hovers at a height of ten to thirty meters and when it wants to catch the fish first it dives from the sky with its wings half closed and then with claws stretched forward it graps the prey. A few seconds later it has a fish firmly clutched in its claws.
